I believe the asking price would remain similar. |

He has every right within his contract to do so. |

Yeah, but he's exercising these rights because he doesn't want to go to Long Island. [So, it has everything to do with Long Island.]
He is protecting his rights as a player, but I've got a strange feeling that Lubomir wouldn't have filed a grievance if he was sent to NYR/PHI/BOS/CHI etc.

If we didnt have too many d already I wouldn't mind giving up a 2 for him he would be an upgrade for a short period and is he russian or czech if he is czech we could have some appeal lol |

You can bet he would not have a problem going to the teams you mentioned. Why after a month is he coming out with this now? What other bad things can happen to the Islanders? |

I'm surprised it took this long after the trade for this to come up.
Can't blame him though, who'd want to go there? |

So a player can only use a NTC once? Why would it matter if Lubo had invoked the NTC in the past don't they just last for a certain time period? |

The way I understand it is...because he didn't have to use it (trade veto power) with the trade to Anaheim, it remains an option for him. Meaning the Ducks were one of the 10 teams on his "acceptable team list." To be more specific he never had to veto a trade because he was dealt to an acceptable team. Since the Islanders don't fall into that category he wants to use that option now. Follow? |

Can't we bring Lubo back and get a second rounder for Lydman instead? He's $2.6 million less per year and has only one year left on his deal. Maybe someone will give us an early second rounder for him. Imagine if Lubo could pull it back together. The PP would cycle him, Souray, and Fowler if he can pull his head out. |

SCUM BAG LUBO!!
In all honesty - the arbitrator will not let him go back to ANA (e3). |

While he could be a upgrade for the power play unit, he weakens the teams defense as his offense is his only selling point. |

If a player waives his NTC to go to one team, then the NTC doesn't carry over to that team. He has no argument. It's in the CBA. |

His argument is that he didn't wave, he had the list of ten teams and Anaheim was on the list and as such it was allowed by his clause.
According to Lubo the Isles are not on the list and as such he has a right not to be traded to them.
Really interesting dilemma actually... |

Sure, send him back and then we can redo the whole draft day, since this happened before anything started. This would change everything they did on the floor that day. It's amazing how this is coming up a month later |

That is exactly my point...
While I understand he has EVERY right to do it, he wouldn't be doing it if he was Ok going to Long Island...
I guess the weird part for me is why did he wait so long to do this? |

Exactly....maybe he should go visit shed-a-tear Muller down in Raleigh. They should get along very well
